Exile Brewing Company has transformed its restaurant into Snow Globe DSM, providing the ultimate winter dining experience.
Snow Globe is a Christmas-themed bar and brunch experience from November 14th to January 7th in Des Moines. The restaurant is open six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday. The restaurant has lights, Christmas decorations, and plenty of spots for a perfect family picture. Snow Globe has plenty of themed days, such as an ugly sweater party, a Frozen princess brunch, and more. Snow Globe is an exclusive event; reservations are recommended because walk-ins are limited. It would help if you made reservations weeks and months in advance for traditional dinner times and special events.
On weekends is the exile brunch experience, which takes place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm each weekend. These brunches can feature special characters, including princesses and Santa himself. They have a separate brunch menu with tons of different options.
“I went to one of the Christmas brunches, and it was cool and the food was good,” stated Junior Tilynne Cartmill.
The dinner and lunch food is also really delicious and follows the Christmas theme perfectly. The menu is very similar to the traditional menu but some festive foods are only served near Christmas. They also offer three different Christmas desserts: mistletoe cake, chocolate cake and bread pudding. They offer a choice of sodas, alcoholic beverages, coffee, and their festive hot chocolate served in cute mugs.
“I really liked the food and hot chocolate because of all the toppings on the hot chocolate,” stated sophomore Clara Olson.
The service is also speedy and efficient. The dining table is pre-set and the wait time is nonexistent. Servers are ready to serve with water when you get to the table. After drinks and food are ordered, there is a short wait until served, giving you time to admire the decorations or enjoy the appetizers.
Many people and families attending Snow Globe often dress up for their meals. Some families wear pajamas, Christmas hats or other festive Christmas accessories. Being festive makes the restaurant an even better experience.
“I like seeing all the little kids and even the grown-ups because they all come dressed in festive things,” stated Snow Globe waitress Leslie Leanos.
Snow Globe is a great excuse to spend quality time with your loved ones and reel in the Christmas cheer. For the most incredible experience, make reservations early, dress festively and bring the people you love the most.
