Ocean Aliens

A series of United States congressional hearings from November through December of 2024 sparked further conversations about the reality of aliens from outer space as well as in the ocean.
Congressional hearings Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Implications on National Security, Public Safety, and Government Transparency and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth have begun to address testimonies of government interference with facts revolving around UAPs, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. These hearings mainly discussed if the American government is over-classifying files and potentially maintaining an environment that uses fear to stop witnesses from coming forward.
Chairwoman Maise stated, “This hearing is intended to help Congress and the American people to learn the extent of the programs and activities our government has engaged in with respect to UAPs and what knowledge it has yielded. This includes any knowledge of extraterrestrial life or technology of non-human origin… Taxpayers deserve to know how much has been invested. They shouldn’t be kept in the dark to spare the Pentagon a little bit of embarrassment.”
Naturally, these hearings have sparked lots of online theories on the reality of aliens, but what are the facts? What is the evidence and what is the true extent of what is known? The truth is that there is a plethora of missing information, leading to few confirmed facts. Across the span of these hearings current and past government officials, scientists and veterans testified on instances where they have been informed of unknown flying objects and technology that does not have human origin. Instead, they heavily suspect these aircrafts to be of alien origin.
Alien is defined as belonging to a foreign nation or country. The concept of aliens has been around since the start of conspiracy theories and old Hollywood. Additionally, the unknown has embedded fear in the public for even longer. Human nature trains people to assume the unknown is a danger to beat, and this tends to be the snap opinion of aliens. However, from an objective standpoint, any kind of extraterrestrial life has the same potential to be passive as it does evil.
These testimonies tend to come from hearsay or emails and letters that vaguely discuss the topic. However, the level of pure belief instilled in these witnesses does speak for itself.
“Let me be clear: UAP are real. Advanced technologies not made by our Government – or any other government – are monitoring sensitive military installations around the globe. Furthermore, the U.S. is in possession of UAP technologies, as are some of our adversaries. I believe we are in the midst of a multi-decade, secretive arms race— one funded by misallocated taxpayer dollars and hidden from our elected representatives and oversight bodies,” testified former Special Access Program on behalf of the White House and the National Security Council Manager, Luis Elizondo.
How are the average people and students taking this?
Morgan Tippetts, a junior at Waukee Northwest High School, commented, “I think it is fascinating but I think it raises far more questions than it actually answers. Despite the promised openness of the hearings, there was still a lot of secrecy and refusal to answer certain questions. Additionally, it isn’t a very useful way to draw conclusions considering nothing is as clearly defined as it could be and there’s still a lot of confusion about the subject.”
While intriguing to speculate about, Tippetts makes the accurate point that there is not much fact to take out of these hearings. Students and the general public do not need to have an extreme reaction. No freakouts or celebrations. However, those interested should keep an eye out for further hearings and the prospect of aliens in the future.
