Photo Recap: Second Half of Show Choir Season

Waukee Northwest Show Choir had a successful second half of their 2024 season. “EOS”, Northwest’s varsity show choir received Grand Champion with Best Vocals and Choreography at Cedar Rapids Washington Mo-Show on February 10. “Aurora”, Northwest’s JV Group competed in the Varsity division during daytime and received 5th place. They did not qualify for final awards.

Two weeks later, both teams traveled back to Cedar Rapids for Kennedy Raise the Roof at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse. “EOS” placed in 2nd, losing to Linn Mar “10th Street Edition.” This group received National Champion during their 2023 season, making it an accomplishment for “EOS” to place right under them. “Aurora” placed 2nd in the prep division.

The choirs ended their season on February 29 with a jamboree showcasing all Northwest feeder show choirs. In the end, “Northwest Show Choirs”EOS” and “Aurora” had a successful season and look forward to where next year will bring them.
