Everbowl Review

In June 2023, Acai Bowl Franchise opened Everbowl at the first location in West Des Moines, Iowa, which has been filled with Northwest High School students ever since.

Acai bowls contain an incredible amount of superfoods and nutrients from the fresh fruits and acai bases. The menu includes a wide variety of different options. Customers can even create their own custom bowls. Each bowl has layers of nutrients within it. The average bowl starts with one of the eight bases provided, followed by their granola topped with fresh fruit. However, each bowl has different amounts of layers of goodness that make Everbowl different than other acai bowl franchises. Everbowl also has other options on its menu besides acai bowls. That includes smoothies, coffees, pints and everwiches. 

Sophomore Ava Tjaden said, “They have a lot of options depending on what you like. They have a lot of different bases and a lot of different toppings.” 

The prices on the menu range from $3-$18, the most expensive product is the “Shine bag of grinds,” and the least expensive is the coffee. The average 12 oz. acai bowl total is $9.99. 

Tjaden said, “You can get a decent amount for how much you pay, and I don’t think it’s too much compared to what you are getting at other places.” 

Along with the great food, Everbowl also has welcoming employees that make Northwest students flow through the doors. 

Senior Lizzie Dermody said, “I feel like [the workers] are more local, instead of at Big Acai,[where] I don’t really know the workers.”

Everbowl is a nutritious, healthy option where students can find delicious food and their Northwest friends.
