March Madness Predictions

To start off the 2022 March Madness predictions we have a total of 68 teams competing for this year’s trophy. The teams are separated into four regions West, East, South and Midwest.
The winners in each region will meet in the final four located in New Orleans. As you are filling in this year’s brackets here are a few things to keep in mind.
Starting in the West region, Gonzaga is the favorite with a record of 26-3 and the overall number one seed. They will likely meet Duke or Texas Tech to play for a birth to the final four. With 5 potential first-round NBA picks Duke is arguably the most talented team in the field and would surprise nobody if they took down Gonzaga.
In the East region, Baylor is a heavy favorite to head to the final four. The young and talented Kentucky Wildcats are one team to keep an eye out for. I am thinking the Purdue Boilermakers will upset Baylor as the third seed in this region.
Moving to the South region Arizona is the one seed and comes into the tournament with a record of 31-3. Many Las Vegas sportsbooks are predicting to be playing for a championship trophy and I agree with them. The Wildcats drew the easiest route to the final four of any of the number one seeds. The only team I think that has a chance to slow them down would be Tennesse with their stout defensive lineup.
The final region is the Midwest which features a couple of the local teams. The Iowa Hawkeyes are a five-seed and will play Richmond in round one. Iowa State is the eleventh seed and plays the LSU tigers. I think both teams win round one but will lose before playing each other. I think Kansas the winners of the Big 12 will continue their hot streak and head to the final four.
After the field of 68 is narrowed down to four I have Gonzaga playing Purdue and Arizona playing Kansas. Gonzaga’s offense will be too much to handle four Purdue and Kansas hot streak will come to an end. This leaves Gonzaga playing Kansas for the National title. predict Kansas to outlast Gonzaga in a battle for the ages with a final score of 82-79.
